Being the mature and logical one, I pushed Jacob away.

"I'm sorry. You have to go." He nodded.
He kissed the top of my head, glared at Ethan, then walked away.

"What. Is. Wrong. With you?!" I whisper-screamed at Ethan . "You cannot just barge in here and scare people off!"

"I'm just protecting what's mine." He gritted his teeth, his eyes blazing with intensity.

"Yours?" I chuckled bitterly, my anger boiling over. "I am not yours, and I will never be yours, Ethan. We may be married on paper but you will never have me."
