In a hidden garden, quiet and small,
Grew a radish, precious to all.
Unique in form, a ruby red light,
In emerald leaves, out of sight.

A little boy, so fair and bright,
Sought not the perfect, but the rare in sight.
Rejecting all, he searched with care,
For a treasure, beyond compare.

The radish thought, "I'm unworthy, plain,
Who could love me, a root in the rain?"
But in simple grace, the boy found joy,
A precious radish, loved by the boy.
