Description
Bái Jiānwēi, the cheerful and beloved son of the Huái Niàn Sect, is set to become the next Head of Disciples. He has plans, and leads the younger disciple's lessons with an iron hand and an always kind-if somewhat naive-heart. During a recent Night Hunt he was commanding, disaster struck. Now, mysterious Rifts are appearing more frequently in the Mortal Realm, forever trailing Bái Jiānwēi's path. As the devastation mounts, it becomes evident that the tragedies are intentional, and he gets increasingly desperate to uncover the truth. However, the target of the monster attacks becomes more and more uncertain: is it the Huái Niàn Sect-which has its fair share of enemies-or is it himself? When reaching for the Heavens, none shall forget the roses at one's feet. In the end, no crown can forever avoid the inevitability of death.
