1940 set book. Beverly, a girl from a small southern town moves to Philedelphia for her family's multi million company. Beverly meets Alan, a mid class young man who works for a carpenter company who lives with his dad, his mother passed when he was young. He meets her at a bookstore that her parents insisted she worked at. The moment he lays eyes on her he falls head over heels for her.
