Most of the world's population perished after the Great War of 2276. Whoever is left lives a harsh life void of technology and electricity. Life is basic. Life is dangerous. Nights are worse because that is when terror comes.

When a group of underground scientists create The August Project, a project attempting to generate stronger and more resilient humans who can live and thrive in harsh environments, they expect near-perfect creations.

What they didn't anticipate was monsters.
