He doesn't mean to, but the first entry catches his eye. As he reads, he can't help but feel guilt and sorrow. He wishes he knew who this belongs to, but for now he keeps it with him, making sure it is safe and protected.

Little does he know; the owner is in a state of distress and anxiety over the lost journal. He wishes he himself felt safe and protected.
