Sabre is known as the happy and cheerful friend of the Steve's. Yeah he acts weird sometimes but he's just a non Steve so that might be why.
Although when a strange entity leaves the Professor's lab and meets him they start qeustioning they're friend's sanity and how M manages to keep Sabre and his New? Old? Friend in check. Oh wait. There's another building on fire, FUDGE!
