Eddie watches as Buck realizes what they're going to have to do. The younger man is delirious with pain as he begs. "No! Eddie, wait, please!" His voice is borderline hysterical and Eddie feels something shift deep in his stomach. He's still holding the blade over the fire when he looks at Hen. Her eyes say it all. You have to do this. Eddie feels like his hands have gone numb by the time he pulls the knife out of the campfire while Chim assures him that it was hot enough now from his position where he's holding Buck's legs down. And Buck is pleading and begging with him to not do this. Eddie knows he has to do this, and that Buck can't make sense of the situation in this state. But all those reassurances mean nothing when the blonde is looking at him like - that. Eddie was in Afghanistan and he actually had to cauterize a friend's bullet wound before, but this- this is different. This is Buck. All the same he knows what he needs to do. ********************************************** Bobby plans a team bonding camping trip when a new recruit leaves the 118 riddled with arguments.
