Description
Marie Aleksandr has trained nearly all of her seventeen years in order to score a superior on Chrome Kingdom Academy’s test of elemental aptitude—a test that will define the rest of her life. She can shatter glass without touching it, a feat none of her fellow students have accomplished, but she hasn’t specialized as a Tangible or Intangible, a fact that could fail her. But just when she’s prepared to give the test her all, a monster collides with her future goals and throws her off course. She’s no master, certainly not, but she’s nothing to be toyed with, and she could have overpowered him were he anything except a Dead One. The fight ends once his hand is around her throat.
