Part 1 - The Star

An esteemed cat named Galilée meows the tale of his human: Edouard Adoyer. One night, on the eve of the 1878 World Exhibition, the young astronomer witnesses the return of a strange light in the skies above Paris. His obsession for this impossible star has made him the laughing stock of the scientific community but Edouard is determined to prove them all wrong for he believes that he may be on the verge of discovering life beyond this Earth.

In The Star that never was, feline and human roam the streets of Paris inhabited by fictional protagonists and mostly forgotten historical figures. Even if you recognize names in the side characters, this remains a work of fiction. A lot of liberties have been taken for story purposes.
