13 year old Maddie James decides to spend her spring break with her friends Nora Springer and Maeve Harley. She gets to stay with her wealthy Aunt Helen who she loves so much.

Ever since the loss of her father, her and her mother haven't been the same people they used to be. So Maddie sees this as a chance to escape her life and her 'not so great' relationship with her mom.
