Description
Selkies: Creatures that look like seals in water but can transform into humans on land. Their pelt, which is their sealskin, can be removed on land to turn into a human and need to be put back on to turn back into a seal. However, if a selkie's pelt is stolen, they cannot return to the sea until they get back their sealskin. When a man steals a selkie woman's pelt, she is trapped on land with him in human form, separated from the sea and her selkie family. She fights him at first. But, as the years pass, the lack of her pelt and the loneliness slowly drain the life out of her. And she soon starts getting desperate, drowning in despair and willing to do anything to escape... Will she find her pelt and get back to the sea and her family? Will she give in to her kidnapper and make a life on land? Or will she perish, imprisoned forever by her captor?
