As I closed my eyes, focusing on calming my breath, my eyes fell upon something written on the stall's wall. Squinting, I read the words, "Bella Smith. Call me I am desperate?" followed by a phone number. A mixture of surprise and curiosity filled me. Holding my phone tightly, I thought, "Let's see how desperate you are, Bella Smith." Without wasting a second, I dialed the number written on the wall. The realization of what I was doing hit me, but the bell was already ringing on the other end. I decided to give it a chance - after all, what else was there to care for in that moment of chaos? A muffled sound echoed from the other side of the line. "HELLO, who is it?" a voice inquired. I took a moment, hesitating for just a breath before responding. "This is Elijah," I said, the weight of the evening hanging heavily in my voice. "I saw your name and number in a restroom stall. Is this Bella Smith?" And without beating around the bush, I directly asked, "Are you desperate?" There was a moment of confusion from the other end, and I heard her say something like, "Who is..." but I cut her words.
