Prologue

Five years ago, Edwina's reality shifted when she was rejected from Kalamazoo and Scott was accepted and sent away from Paw, Paw, Michigan. Eventually, the Dear Edwina show collapses, and now Edwina has to face the real world. She's a high school senior, working at a cafe, struggling in school, with no real passion or dreams anymore. Her friends notice how different she is, and want the old Edwina back. Edwina finds herself dreaming of the future she never got, and maybe a certain boy. Scott found himself in the blinding lights of Hollywood, but misses Paw Paw, the Dear Edwina Show, and most of all, Edwina. After the two run into each other at Dairy Queen, the original place Scott asked her out to, their lives are intertwined. The Hollywood star who got away, and the small town girl who got stuck. Will Edwina and Scott ever be able to compare the future to the Dear Edwina Show to the past, or will they be forever lost on different paths?
