Lucy Vanderbough works in her great-grandfather's antique book store known as The Old Word. She loves the smell of the books and, despite what people say, always judges a book by its cover. After all, it's part of her job. Most of the time, either her father or one of her six Uncles would bring boxes of books that they had purchased at various auctions. But sometimes people would bring books in to sell or donate. It was when she was processing one of these donated boxes of books that she came across something so terrifying that she had to call the police. That was just the beginning of the nightmare that ensued. Cameron Wickermen thought that getting a call from police at three in the morning was bad. But no, things can always get worse. His great-uncle, a filthy rich eccentric with just about as many crazy stories to tell as money to spend, had passed away. The cause is unknown but suspicious timing. Considering he had just celebrated his 90th birthday, as well as received many expensive gifts from celebrities as well as powerful political figures. The news was sad, but it was not entirely unexpected. Many elderly people simply pass away in their sleep. Cameron was not only physically close to the man, but they had kept up a great friendship since Cameron was just a boy. Now that it came down to clearing out the old man's estate, Cameron decided to take the crazy amount of books that the man had filling multiple book shelves as well as precariously stacked all over the house, to the closest antique book store. He never expected that to result in his own arrest.
