Chapter 1- Battle at Dawn

Claire is an apprentice within a powerful clan of warriors. Her only dream is to become a Vatican; the highest rank of power any knight could achieve, warriors with the ability to control holy magic capable of winning wars. Unfortunately, she struggles to earn the respect from the higher warriors for reasons she cannot understand. Even worse, her older sister has already become a Vatican, basking in the adoring spotlight while Claire is forced in her shadow. When the leader pushes a seemingly impossible test in her way, Claire must fight for her title and prove to her clan that even with her past mistakes, she could potentially be the best Vatican the entire clan has ever seen.
