When I was sixteen years old I had one of the best years of my life. I had a ton of friends and stuff to do. In hindsight a lot of distractions from my problems but it all just worked so effortlessly. I liked that. Before the heartbreak happened of course, everything was so simple.
A simple life, was created right that year. I had good grades without even trying, my parents and I were getting along flawlessly and I had a cool little friend group that stabilized me. I didn't need them to heal me entirely. Just knowing they'd be there helped. Until they weren't, when I needed them most.
