Description
Rebecca Morgansen has always been an outsider. Though she has a loving family, a position as a school teacher, and a strong faith, the disabilities she has faced from birth have caused her to feel isolated as she's watched her friends and sisters marry and start new lives. Despite this, she's made her peace with her situation, comfortable in her orderly life. Now Jemuel Miller, one of the orphaned children her parents had taken in years ago, has reappeared and threatens to upend everything. Jem Miller hasn't seen his sisters in 10 years. After their parents died trying to make it out west, the siblings found themselves living with the Morgansens. Jem struck out by himself, a series of events meaning he stayed away far longer than he intended. Making it back into town just in time for a wedding, his mission is to make things right with his sisters before he disappears for good. The only problem is that his adopted 'sister' is determined to find out just what he was up to for the decade he was missing, presumed dead. An unlikely pair struggle to see eye to eye. Who will yield first?
