That's why a lot of the book is different, but there will be similarities and they will increase the more you get into the book. The love interest probably isn't clear towards the end of the book, but it will become clearer. Another thing is that (small spoiler alert) there will be two love interests. The original idea is based off of Fourth Wing so that's why the idea is the same. The story of what happened between Iron Flame and this book will be revealed later on.
