After years of abuse at the hands of his family, Lotor finally snaps and runs away, not before Sendak has the last laugh and rapes Lotor so violently that he can never show his face to his people ever again. Lotor, who was desperate for comfort and scared to return to his people, searched out Voltron, more specifically Keith, to help him deal with his severe trauma.
