The premise is to create a battleship, the Yamato, according to the construction plan as titled, emphasizing the "German-Japanese honeymoon." The Japanese Empire strengthened its relationship with Germany after World War I, and subsequently, also strengthened its ties with the Nazi regime. In the process, they successfully acquired advanced German industrial technology. As a result, one of the weapons born from this endeavor was the newly constructed battleship Yamato, equipped with a diesel engine. However, as a consequence of their friendly relations, the Japanese Empire found itself inevitably involved in the unprecedented World War II that erupted in September 1939, simultaneously with its outbreak.
