"Don't fucking call me that."

"Ok, sorry, Nathan." Riley let the silence stretch for a bit before she finally turned to look at him. "I know you trust me."

"So? What's your fucking point?" He bit back.

She sighed as she hesitantly put a hand on his shoulder. "My point is that you should let me in. Break down those walls for me. You're not okay, but you're not alone. I'm here for you."

Nathan paused a bit, his grip tightening on the steering wheel before he started to cry, his emotions coming out all at once like harsh waves in a tsunami.

"It's ok. I'm here." Riley reassuringly said.
