Chapter 1

Sixteen-year-old Cassandra is set to take a test that will determine whether she will live or will die as a means to control the population. After setting off to take the dreaded Capax test and be deemed either worthy or unworthy of living, Cassandra is met with unimaginable tasks that set her on a long journey where she is forced to learn to fight, to survive, and to love.
