Brighten Phillips had his entire life planned out before him.

He would graduate high school before marrying the man he loved and then the two of them would go off to college and from there they would happily begin their life together.

But sadly things don't always go as planned and a sorrowful twist of events changes his life forever and places him on the path of a boy he barely knew.
