In the quaint town of River's Bed, the thought of war was as far-fetched as a magical fairytale... That is, until four children are born with magical powers. Their powers are a blessing from their God, Mother Nature, and with it they are given a destiny to save the entire continent, and their village, from collapse at the hands of Nautis, an evil God. After Adolpha's parents are murdered, marking the start of a war across the continent, Adolpha and her other blessed friends must embark on a journey and fight for their world's survival, as their powers are the only thing capable of stopping Nautis and his intelligent servant, Virulant. After the war, the blessed ones must somehow learn to live with their trauma and loss, returning to a semi-normal life with one another for support. For Adolpha, this means making amends with her daughter, healing from her abuser, and focusing on building her confidence in a journey of self-discovery and slice-of-life romance. With chapters that alternate between the past and the present, the audience is given both the beginning of this story and the end, but must read to find out what tragedy has happened in between.
