Nicholas Diaz was the 'perfect' boy. Good grades. Good talents. Good friends. Good family. And exceptionally good looks. Every girl that he wanted he got. Every test he took he passed. Every sport he played he played well. Even though under this perfect facade he had, he would occasionally drink or smoke to ease the pressure, or get in the irregular fight, or hook up with multiple girls, he wouldn't let his front fall.

Felix Monroe was the 'perfect' student. Assignments done on time if not early. His Friday nights consisted of studying the night away. He had his future planned already, and would be nothing if he's not valedictorian. Every college which was hard to get into he was determined to get in. Every assignment he had to complete would always be done before everyone else, so he had time to finish extra. Every night was a fight to learn more between passing out and caffeine. Even though on the outside he seemed organised and focused, with his whole life thought out, he wouldn't let anyone know the mess of his room, the stubborn tears and breakdowns when he lost a mark, the endless comparing of others and self pity.

These two were rivals. Have always been. Academically trying to beat the other, constantly. Because without being the best Felix would be nothing. And Nicholas would be classed as a delinquent.

Starting the new year Felix is set on getting through with the best grades and applying for the best colleges. Nicholas would love to do the same. But would this year bring more drama and stress than others? Or would there be a good outcome?
