CHAPTER 1: VEERED OFF

There's this forest next to town. Its trees cast shadows dark as the void. Its leaves form an opaque ceiling for those inside. The gusts of winds emanating from it make the leaves run amok. But its imposing nature perhaps serves as a warning for something much, much worse which dwells within.
