Description
Thomas Johnson is a 16-year-old boy who is a victim of domestic violence by his father and abandoned by his mother. Thomas lives illegally in a dilapidated house, with his father who frequently gets drunk and treats him badly. Mary Davis, a 16-year-old girl who is quite fortunate, has been Thomas's best friend since he was 6 years old. When Thomas' mother abandons him, Mary invites him to come live with her, to her mansion. Thomas accepts the proposal and falls in love with Mary, being disapproved by her parents. When the two realize what they feel, they decide to run away and create a life. Sudently, the war starts and Thomas is recruted. He stays there for 2 years, communicanting with Mary with letters. But how will Thomas overcome his past and his traumas? And how will Mary get used to that new life?
