Description
Hot shot Flamezer, Hoist Towver, Medix Redden, Whirl Windal, and Wedge Shoveler are all happy, active, playful and wonderful five year old children. They all love to run, jump, play and climb. They love animals, painting, drawing, coloring, Pokemon and riding their new bikes. They were going to be in Kindergarten in the fall. They didn't know each other yet but destiny said they would met. They soon began to feel unwell in April. They are tired all the time, they are weak, they have fevers, they are bruising easily, and their bruises are taking a long time to heal. Their parents take them right to Cook Children's ER one night because they spike a high fever and don't look so good. The kids are admitted to the hospital through the ER where they meet. The doctors run blood tests on the kids. Then around the morning they do another test on the kids called a bone marrow biopsy. Then the kids are diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia or ALL a type of blood cancer which is the most common cancer in children. They all learn about their same diagnosis and bond over it. They decide to fight their cancer together. They become the best of friends too. They face many good and bad times together. They are determined to win too! (humanized)
