Prologue

Acacia Gloom is what is known as a 'Victim of Sub-Par Luck'. Her mother is dead, her father has left her and her friends and family live on the other side of the continent with no way of travelling to the lonely island Acacia is trapped on.

However, things change when a eccentric shape-shifting being appears to bring her back to society. Acacia is dragged into a lavish life full of things she could not fathom having, where everyone calls her the luckiest girl alive, but this kindhearted shapeshifter requires something more from the girl....

Gifted nothing but a scythe and a talking fly, she sets off on a mind-bending, twisted adventure to the slaughterhouse where her mother was murdered, to free the souls that lay within....
