"TAKING A STAND" After being bitten by a genetically engineered spider, Peter Parker has the proportionate strength, speed and agility of a human spider. Along with the ability to adhere to any surface, a precognitive spider-sense that warns him of danger and a pair of mechanized web shooters, Peter fights against evil as a costumed vigilante. Set during the decade of the 1990's, this is a Generation X version of The Amazing Spider-Man story. This is a time when young people believed that they had the power to change the world for the better. In order to make a difference, Peter will need to rely on his friends for help and have the courage to believe in good. LAST ISSUE: The struggle to obtain the elusive Decay Rate Algorithm ends with an epic battle at Oscorp Tower. Spider-Man faces his many foes: Dr. Octopus, The Sandman, The Lizard, Electro and the maniacal Green Goblin. While the Algorithm itself is destroyed, the Green Goblin remains at large and vows revenge. It seems as though the deranged madman is on a collision course with the masked hero of New York. Spider-Man and the Green Goblin are destined to face one another again! As if his struggles against the forces of evil weren't enough, Peter Parker feels as though he has lost his chance to be with Mary Jane Watson. Time and time again, his responsibilities as Spider-Man keep him from being there for the girl that he loves and now he believes that he may have lost her forever. When she gets back together with Harry Osborn, it leaves the teen feeling heartbroken and wondering if he will ever experience true love.
