Sophia Santiago didn't hate anyone. Well, not anyone. There was one particular boy who had been getting under her skin since 2004. Aiden Brooks hated a lot of people. One person especially. There was one particular girl who had been getting under his skin since 2004. Sophia and Aiden had known each other since day one. They had been conceived one day apart, in the same hospital, to parents who lived right next door to one another. They were around each other so much it seemed normal that they should be best friends. They were more than the opposite of that, though. Neither one could stand the other's presence. That was how it always had been. Come the summer of senior year, Sophia is delighted to discover that Aiden will be gone. The whole time. He's signed up for a summer-long wilderness camp in the middle of nowhere. Little does Sophia expect that when Aiden comes back, he'll be a different person.
