Colette, a young girl who sees the good in everyone and everything, tries to befriend her new neighbor who just moved in-a brooding 28 year old named Casey. Despite his best efforts to maintain his solitude, her positivity and bright presence start to chip away at his defenses. With their balconies across from one another, it becomes the stage for an unlikely friendship to blossom.

Despite their opposite personalities, they both share one thing in common: a dark and tragic past that they are both trying to escape from. It is through their shared experiences and mutual desire for healing that their connection starts to grow stronger.
