Esmeralda knew being a woman in a patriarchal society means she had to fight harder than men for respect. Graduating high school, and maintaining her mental health, came with an abundance of struggles. Her mother Gloria and sister, Sasha, had troubles connecting to her on emotional levels. Closed off. Hiding behind a smile of deception.

When doing one of her routine walks on Venice beach, admiring the businesses, a man wearing an odd yellow and bright pink leotard roles in to her life. No- literally in Florescent rollerblades. A LifeSize Ken doll from Barbie land accompanying barbie herself.
