Mario got back home and thwarted Bowser once more, but on a galactic level.
Everyone was safe.
Everyone was HOME...

Even the universe tossed him to the side.
God's will, the cosmic destiny, or whatever sick, twisted divinity watches over him left him behind.
Now he's in deep space, far from home. He doesn't know how he got here, or if he will ever go home again.
All he knows is that he must try to get home. To see his brother.
He WILL see Mario again, or his name isn't Luigi.
