As a child, Akiyama Mizuki had a teddy bear for comfort. She loves that teddy bear. When she goes to bed, she holds the bear close. She would refuse to go anywhere without it. This habit lasted till highschool. She wouldn't take it to school, so she wouldn't be made fun of, since she is one of the popular kids. However she would still sleep with it, holding it close and squeezing it tight. Later, she feel in love with a girl, Shinonome Ena. In school she would be called one of the nerds, the freaks, just for her interest of art. She was in the art club, which is the reason for the names. Soon she became the club leader, due to the previous leader needing to change schools. She would be made fun of now becoming "nerdier" or becoming "the nerdiest of the nerdiest". Nevertheless Ena doesn't care of what people think of her, she just never saw worth in they're opinions. Mizuki admired this behavior of hers. A reason why Mizuki fell for her in the first place. Mizuki was scared to talk to Ena, not because of her being nervous or too shy to talk to her, but more of being called a "nerd" too for talking to a "nerd". Her reputation was very important to her, and sacrificing it for a girl? No, never. Is what she thought at the start. Ena became more popular amongst the "nerds" for her breath taking art. This led to Mizuki admiring her more. She loves her and wants her. Yet she is still too afraid. One day she finally worked up the courage to ask her out. This made Ena very shocked, seeing a popular kid wanted to talk to her. But she was sceptical. Nonetheless she gave her a chance, reminding herself to to grow attached. They became good friends and Ena started to like Mizuki. Mizuki told her, how she sleeps with a teddy bear for comfort. Ena didn't care if it's what makes Mizuki happy.
