ORCA TO CS1 I WILL PROTECT CONVOY During World War II, the Arctic Convoys were vital supply routes that transported military equipment, food, and other essentials from the Western Allies to the Soviet Union, through the treacherous waters of the Arctic Ocean. These convoys faced extreme weather conditions, the constant threat of German naval and air attacks, and the danger of navigating through ever-shifting ice fields. Despite these hazards, the tenacity of the Arctic Convoys played a crucial role in sustaining the Soviet war effort against Nazi Germany on the Eastern Front. The USS Lemoore is one of the ships charged with defending the convoys from attack. Under the leadership of her Captain Oscar Pomalez, and skilled crewmembers like Gunner's Mate Marshall Baker, they will do their best to defend the nigh-helpless merchants stocked with invaluable war supplies and get them safely to their destinations in Russia. But unfortunately for all of them, this war is measured in tonnage sunk, not ships remaining afloat.
