In Kotabuku, it's not surprising that everyone loves books and has the ambition to become a writer (a fiction writer). Little Tom, a shy teenager, dreams of becoming a famous writer. He had to face the fact that more and more books were being neglected in Kotabuku, such as lying on the streets, blocking drains, and even being used as building materials to replace bricks; When the most famous writer (I.J.J) keeps trying to put new writers under his belt, Little Tom discovers the true meaning of being a writer rather than just being famous in Kotabuku.
