Not even allowed to mourn, she had to help rebuild the city when Braniac was killed. Thoughts of taking her own life after killing her friends and crush filled her mind until she found one last sliver of hope... And she would not let this child go. There are even others that need that right now or just really want it. Now what if their only hope was traumatized after losing both his parents to this invasion? Your mother was turned into an alien and killed while your dad was just killed by Superman in front of you which made you fear superheroes most of all. You don't even trust adults now.
