Camille Velendula, an elven vampire with a harsh glare and harsher words is running from vampire hunters to a town called Riverlight, which is on the eastern coast of a country called Pheratia.
The prince of Pheratia, Laramie Deilarus, has suffered under the harsh rule of the Matriarch Delvaria. Bearing abuse at regal hands, he is saved by Camille, who plans to repay him by taking him to the capitol of Pheratia, E'abhain.
Camille is abrasive and bitingly mean, Laramie is a pampered royal who knows not of suffering.
