During a mission to infiltrate a formidable castle and eliminate its owner, he meets Elyza, an elf driven by an unyielding desire for revenge against said owner. Unwilling to let another soul bear the weight of vengeance alone, he decides to help her, and perhaps convince her to form a partnership. As their relationship evolves, all while the duo try to help those who deserve it, they fight dragons, destroy various criminal organisations, topple governments, get drugged, and somehow wind up trying to stop a cult from taking over the world.
