Description
Prince Cassius of Voria has a lot of problems; training to inherit the crown, pleasing his overbearing mother, his father bursting into his room at inopportune times... But worst of all, he can't seem to find a future queen to tickle his fancy. Even when practically-perfect-in-every-way princess Sophia of Dyluth visits on diplomatic grounds, Cassius just can't seem to get with it. When anonymous letters start appearing on his windowsill, his mind becomes even more fuddled. Why can't he make it work with Sophia, and who is this person on the other side of the parchment? And why can't he stop thinking about those letters? Finnian lives his life in the castle stables, caring for the horses and trying to avoid his boss. Even if he can't speak of it, Finnian sees and hears about everything that goes on within the castle grounds, from the way the stable master treats the horses, to the latest gossip in the maids' kitchen. He may be poor as dirt, but at least he has good company and a pretty face to look at.
