Description
Growing up in an impoverished neighborhood Mavis Gemma Chan had been raised in a series of foster homes. Her parents were unknown and she blamed them for being absent in her life. Mavis eventually stood in front a house; a new future, nervous to see them. "Okay, mavis go ahead" the old woman spoke softly to the child. "But I want to stay with you" the child spoke with tears in her eyes. "Can I tell you a poem?" Mavis smiled. Laverne smiled as well and nodded. "Sunflowers reach up to the skies, Tea is green, And so are your eyes." "That's corny" she said as she laughed. 'Whose flower is that? I think I know. Its owner is quite happy; full of joy etched on her face like a vivid rainbow. I watch her smile; As she gives her flower a shake, and laughs until her belly aches. The flower is bright, plump and deep but she promises to keep. She rises from her gentle bed.
