Morgan is going back to school, again. Studying to be a chef specializing in confectionery, Morgan's had an eventful and tumultuous start to life. Even though she's been through the hell of unprovoked abuse and neglect, with the force of desperation, she remains unbroken. Unbroken, however, does not mean unharmed. "You have to accept where you are now and fight for who want to be. Live for that person you want to be in the future and know that in this soulless and unforgiving world, someone is rooting for you." The lingering words from her previous partner, Zade, remain in her heart. Morgan is tired of having her emotions, friends, romantic partners, and state of dress, constantly picked apart and surveilled to an invasive degree. This is her final chance to make something of herself - by honest and legal means, anyway- she's desperately focused on completing her education for the sake of her and her brother Peter's freedom. At first, Nikolai sees Morgan as a normal woman with dreams and aspirations for a better life. Their connection starts simple enough but grows into something more complex when Nikolai realizes he's committed a career-ending travesty. All the while, he is suffering internally from the passing of his elder sister Paige, his grandfather's deteriorating health and care, and his turbulent desire to try and reconnect with his birth parents in another country. Morgan struggles to find a voice and navigate the complexities of improving her mental health, all the while Nikolai has come to a precipice, to continue his passion for teaching despite a marred reputation, maybe Morgan has the right idea. Maybe it's time to leave it all behind and begin a new adventure.
