Part one: Awakening

One day Melony wakes up trapped in a strange place. Then she meets someone familiar except they aren't as they seem.

Melony's friends must convince a young successful but, flawed and, tired detective. Because of his past he doesn't want to be a detective but, due to his skills the government practically forces him to be one.

He's brave enough to seek the truth at all cost yet, he's not brave enough to stand up for what he himself wants or, believes in. But he must take Melony's case as the entire world could potentially hinge on her being rescued in time.
