Prologue: History of the Kingdom

THERE ONCE was a cursed girl that knew nothing of laughter, her fate sealed to the tower in which she remained. That is, until a bright-eyed prince steals his own crown right out from under the guardsmen's noses, flees his kingdom, and stumbles across the perfect lofty hiding place. As the charismatic boy coaxes the gloomy maiden out of her hiding place with his magic eyes, they begin to realize that their lives have long since been connected... And perhaps this meeting itself was fate.
