Instead of having one kid lorelai said she had twins, both girls. Juli is Rory's 'twin' sister. She experiences different struggles then rory and her private prestigious high-school life.

Juli has to live her life in Rory's shadow, constantly running just to stay in second place but also figuring out why her family is so distant with her. Was it because lorelai was her mother?

To put it short,

A struggling kid faces tough decisions that could alter their life. Will Juli figure out the family's well-kept secret? Will it change her perspective on everything? Will she survive high-school? Or will she drop out?
