"What do you want from me?" I whimper at her, curling as far into the corner away from her as I can. This woman is sick and no matter what I yell at her or how I try to convince her that this is all wrong in so many ways she barely bats an eye. Evane gives a harsh tug at the chain bolting me to the floor making the collar around my neck choke me a little and pull me forward onto my hands. "I don't want anything from you, Mittens," she replies, a soft yet skin crawling smile across her lips. "I just need you to understand who's you are." "I'm not yours! I don't belong to anybody," I snap back at her. "And stop calling me 'Mittens'. My name is Adeline." "I know, Mittens. I just prefer pet names," she coos, leaning closer to me and I back away back to my corner of comfort. "Now be a good little kitten and be quiet while I finish working." "Stop calling me Mittens!" "I'll call you what I want, Mittens," she spits back. "You're mine so I can call you whatever the hell I like. I dress you, feed you and bathe you. I can call you whatever I want to." "You kidnapped me!" "I just needed to get what was mine," she smirks, giving the collar a rough tug.
