Prologue

Lacey Walters: normal teenage girl living in New York City. Her father left after her little sister, Abby, was born, for no apparent reason. Even with this mishap, her mother and One-Direction-obsessed sister have moved on. Lacey has no plans of ever forgiving him, and believes that all men are the same and love isn't real.
Liam Payne: recently dumped because his ex-girlfriend was annoyed by hate from his fans. Even though they are the reason for his messed up love life, he loves his fans and tries his hardest to give back to them.
When these two meet, what will happen? Can a friendship blossom into something more? Even when Lacey refuses to fall?
