Description
After her father and brother were killed in the failed rebellion, Cecily never imagined that things could get worse. But one night, soldiers storm her small village and show her how wrong she was. As part of their punishment for daring to rise against the king, soldiers are permitted to ransack the rebel villages, destroying or taking whatever they want, and killing or capturing whoever they want. In a split second, Cecily's world is turned upside down as she is ripped away from her family and the only life she's ever known.
